Frequently Asked Questions
All clients who are new to the studio are required to attend at least 1 Fundamentals class before progressing to the small group classes.
In the Fundamentals class you will learn the principles of Pilates and be guided through foundational exercises in a mixed equipment class using both the Mat and Reformer. This is a beginner level class taken at a slower pace, allowing you time to get used to working with the equipment, practice Pilates breathing patterns & experience the method in your body.
During this class you will be assessed to ensure you are safe to progress to the small group reformer classes. This class is capped at 6 participants.
I AM NEW TO PILATES, WHERE DO I BEGIN
Please ensure you wear comfortable exercise clothes that allow you to move freely. Form fitting is preferable and zipper free is a must to protect the equipment. If you have long hair, please bring a hair tie to keep your hair out of the springed equipment. You will also need a towel, grippy socks (which are sold in the studio) and a water bottle.
WHAT DO I WEAR / NEED TO BRING?
Add yourself to the waitlist! We have a strict 12 hour cancellation policy before a late fee is applied ($30). This is to ensure all clients have the best opportunity to get to a class. Once you’re on the waitlist, there is a high chance that you will be added to the class.
If someone cancels, you will receive an email and/or text message notifying you.
WHAT IF THE CLASS IS FULL?
All classes are 50 minutes in duration.
HOW LONG IS THE CLASS?
Please cancel yourself out of the session using the Mind Body app or logging into your account via the web page. Group classes cancelled within 12 hours of the start time will incur a $30 late fee. Private sessions or Studio Sessions must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. We do not accept late cancellations via sms, email or social media. Please manage your cancellations accordingly.
WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND A BOOKED SESSION?
Our group classes are run as group fitness classes. As such, they are not suitable for pregnancy or managing an injury concern. If you are pregnant beyond 16 weeks or have an injury, experience our semi-private Studio Session class. Before attending this class, you will need to complete an Initial Consultation.
ARE YOU PREGNANT OR DO YOU HAVE AN INJURY CONCERN?
An Initial Consultation is a great place to start to learn more about your body and how Pilates can assist you in enhancing your everyday function. During your Initial Consultation, we will conduct a physical assessment to identify your physical needs and discuss your fitness/rehabilitation goals. From here, a tailored program will be created for you to work through in your following sessions. This is a requirement before attending a Studio Session regardless of your level of expertise.
Your Initial Consultation can be booked with one of our Diploma Qualified Pilates Instructors by contacting Danielle at Every Bodies Pilates & Fitness.
